Many videos about the farm and dogs are on YouTube, but we have selected a few to show here, including our 'Introduction to Hetta Huskies'. It was made by James Mayer, who came to us on secondment from the BBC; we put his talents to good use and he made two short films while here.
- 'Welcome to Hetta Huskies' intro film by ex-BBC guide James Mayer
- Client film of the first 5-day safari of 2015
- Footage from open-tundra runs in challenging conditions
Welcome to Hetta Huskies
The first film (by James Mayer) gives clients a snapshot of life here. The second was more of a thank-you to his peer guides — a memory of their time here, and a window for future trainees on what life here is really like.
Films by clients
To show what others have experienced with us, we have posted a film by Phill Woodhouse, a client on the first 5-day safari of 2015. It shows our dogs pushing across the open tundra on a day when local snowmobile companies had turned back because of the conditions — a good insight into how hard you might have to work in fresh snow or true Arctic conditions. There is also a short safari video by Gaby and Peter Reusser.
Frozen LakesA video of the 'Frozen Lakes' tour – one of our most popular mid-length day safaris, around 12km and 2.5 hours.
Musher's ViewA behind-the-scenes film made by our trainee guides showing what life is really like on the farm.
VisitFinland – Pasi's InterviewsVisit Finland, the national tourist board, interviewed Pasi in a wilderness kota – the resulting film is available with subtitles in several languages.
