This page contains links to our online booking calendar. Please use this for checking space availability on the tour of your preference.

The peak periods fill quickly as soon as we put the dates live. However, feel free to get in touch if we do not seem to have your preferred dates available. We often have additional capacity to that which is shown, particularly from mid-March onwards.

  • Online booking calendar links for each multi-day tour
  • Additional capacity often available, especially from mid-March
  • 8-day all-inclusive package is the best value with the 5-day safari
  • Ground-only safaris: arrive at the farm by 10am on day 1
  • Two departures per week in late March & April
  • 2-day tours run on demand and also as 4-day packages

5-Day Wilderness Safari & packages

Most people choose the all-inclusive 8-day package, the best value with this 5-day safari: you need accommodation the night pre- and post-tour anyway, and the 8-day package gives one extra day on location to explore other arctic adventures.

Those on the 7 or 8-day packages arrive at the farm the day before the tour starts (airport shuttles can be arranged), and the 7-day package ends the day after the safari returns. Ground-only clients must arrive at the farm by 10am on day 1, and the tour ends once we return to the homestead on Day 5. In late March & April we run 2 departures per week, generally only making the 2nd 'live' once the first is nearly full.

3-Day Taiga Tour

We do not schedule many private departures on this tour until later in the season. Between March 23rd and April 22nd we have capacity to run additional 3-day tours that may not be on the live schedule. Please enquire directly if we do not have scheduled dates that work for you.

2-Day Polar Night Safari

People tend to picture an overnight husky safari in a wilderness cabin, but our feedback shows most customers enjoyed the night back at the farm even more. So over 50% of our 2-day tours return to spend the night in the traditional farm kota, with heating, light and a range of activities; the rest stay in a small trappers cabin or our northern lights kota in the wilderness.

These tours run essentially on demand, when we have capacity, and are also available as 4-day all-inclusive packages with room and board either side. We can often squeeze additional 2-day safaris in, particularly late in the season or for larger groups.

Which month is the best time to sled?

The differing degrees of cold, deep snow, trail consolidation and daylight hours will have a huge impact on your safari experience. Short tours in November, mid/long day and overnight tours in December, and multiday tours in January are all early-winter Trail-Blazing Tours. February tours are Polar-Winter Tours (cold and relatively short day-length). March tours fall into Early Spring and can be challenging because of polar storms, winds and fresh snow but are longer-lit and warmer. Tours from the end of March through April are in fast Spring conditions with crystallised, compacted trails and long sunny evenings spent comfortably with the dogs.
